Weekend review

The two rugby finals went to form and Fletch was also able to turn a profit on the cricket

More profits from this weekend and the aqccounts should really be starting to motor ahead for us here.

The Super 14 Final was the perfect start for us.

The Crusaders won for the straight up punters, but for those who seleced my trading advice that the New Zealand side were too short at 1/3 and the in your face defense would dominate early, then the first half was a dream for the Waratahs. Phil Waugh snarled and snapped at everything and Lachie Turner ran in two tries for the Tahs to be in the lead at half-time.

God bless and good night as the price on the Crusaders went rocketing out leaving us a handsome profit.

This game exemplified the importance of current form and how sometimes the odds do not reflect it. The Tahs were going to struggle to win, but the Crusaders would have needed to be winning easily from the very start to justify the very short 1/3 price. Therefore, in that middle area lies a trading opportunity and it is those we seek out to profit from.

The Guinness Premiersip final was another trading match in our plans as both Leicester and Wasps were around evens. It started well as Wasps went down to 1.9 before the start and then 1.65 on going 3-0 up. When Leicester equalised they went back to 1.9 which was ideal. However, those trading should have noticed the utter dominance that Wasps were creating and stopped trading there and then.

The Cricket in Antigua was interesting as Aussie batted first. Simon Katich batted superbly for a century but progress overall was slow as they finished day one on 259/3. The problem was that the pitch was so slow and unresponsive for both batsmen and bowlers. However that was ideal for our lay of Australia at 1.53.

On Sunday afternoon and rain delayed the play and Australia were loitering at 2.2

It was then that we should've looked to take our money and finish with this match - well in profit and with very little risk throughout the first two days.

An excellent lay of a short price!
