Weekend Review

A mixed weekend for Fletch, with some wins on the rugby and NFL, but the Ausie cricket defeat was costly

Cricket

Even the longest and strongest of juggernauts get derailed, and that happened last week with the Aussie cricket side. While it is annoying, I accept it because for many matches, over months and years, we have blindly backed Australia and picked up oodles of cash.

This time we lost our alloted amount for the Test as India won. That amount does not compare to what they have earned us recently so we just have to take our lumps.

Rugby

We picked five matches.

Perpignan did easily for Dragons - an easy win for us and a good start.

Leicester were an early trade at 1/2 in what I thought would be a slugfest. It worked early as twice Leinster took 3 point leads. There were swings straight up for us to profit, and then Leicester dominated. Overall not good or bad for us really.

Wasps were well and truly done at Thomond Park. I wanted to lay the side scoring first and hope the game was tight. Wasps scored first a penalty and we laid them as per instructions. Munster levelled and then Wasps missed a kick, but the first half was close. There was a profit from this match but not a great one.

Gloucester were a straight bet at 1/16 and on the handicaps of 17 points as 10/11. The main bet won and the handicap lost.

Bristol v Cardiff was a trade by laying side scoring first. Well Bristol did not score a point so this was a bust.

NFL

The Patriots won and we are still sitting on our handsome long term profit.

Packers were an early lay like last week and it worked really well. In fact the whole match was a trading dream, and exactly the kind of ding-dong battle we dream about.

At last a cracking and profitable match to finish the weekend.

Overall, a mixed weekend and I shall have a good review of my research this week as I do not enjoy weekends like this. The last one was in October - annoying, but a hazard punters have to accept.

I will deliver a full and in-depth SUPERBOWL PREVIEW on Thursday and also a preview and trading for the much anticipated fourth test between Aussie and India.
