We review one of online poker's new kids on the block - Virgin Poker

Virgin's deposit-match bonus of up to 200 Dollars means you've doubled your bankroll before you start. Which is nice

Virgin's poker site is a new addition to the online poker marketplace - and as you'd expect, the quality of the product is right up there with the market leaders.

Registering and getting to the tables is straightforward and quick. New customers get a deposit-match bonus of up to $200 when they start up - so you've doubled your bankroll before you start. Which is nice.

Once you're into the lobby, there is the usual selection of games on offer. Cash games, single and multi-table tournaments and heads-up games are all available, and the site offers Omaha, 7 Card Stud and 5 Card Draw as well as the obligatory Texas Hold'Em.

One handy feature to the lobby is a tick box which allows you to hide the full tables from the lobby, so you can browse the tables with seats available without having to contend with pages of full tables. It helps you get to the action quicker, which, lets face it, is what you want - and what Virgin want, too. The only disappointment was the option wasn't available for the Tournament tables. Sit and go aficionados would certainly benefit from the feature.

Poker virgins can start on the Practice tables, where they can play for free, with play money, then progress to the real-money tables and start to build their bankroll.

Gameplay is slick and easy to follow. For those who like to multi-task and play while surfing the net (or doing work!), a useful feature of the game makes the window containing the game pop up above your other application windows when it's your turn to act, which means you won't miss your turn.

As you'd expect, Virgin runs regular tournaments, starting from as little as $1 - and the site has a host of handy tutorials to help you get started in the game.

All in all, an excellent addition to the online poker stable - and one that is likely to prove very popular with newbies and experienced players alike.
