With a total prizepool of $60 million up for grabs in the 2007 World Series of Poker Main Event, the numbers are being whittled down from the original 6,358, and a number of UK players are looking good.

The first place prize will total around $8.25 million, and although that is some way off after the conclusion of Day 2A, the money postions are approaching quickly.

Among the leaders is Kenny ‘The Kid’ Tran on 495,000 chips. Tran has already made a name for himself at this year’s WSOP with a fifth-place finish in the $50,000 H.O.R.S.E.
