$2 Million Guaranteed and €3 Million Guaranteed Irish Open means biggest ever month on paddypowerpoker.com

Millions of dollars are up for grabs this March as paddypowerpoker.com prepares for the biggest month in the site’s history.

On top of the usual $12.5 million in monthly guarantees, March will be bookended by two of the biggest tournaments taking place anywhere in the world this spring.

Kicking off the month is the $2 Million Guaranteed, which is the largest single online tournament ever to be held on the site.

With a buy-in of $1,580 this event will attract a lot of the biggest online players in the world as they compete for a minimum first prize of $400,000.

Daily feeders and a multitude of satellites will ensure a large field for this prestigious event.

$2 Million Guaranteed:
Date: 8pm, 2 March
Type: No Limit Hold’em Freezeout
Buy-in: $1,500 + $80
Satellites: Daily feeders from as little as $3

Three weeks later, from 19 to 24 March, all eyes will turn towards Dublin for paddypowerpoker.com’s flagship event, the €3 Million Guaranteed Irish Open. The oldest, and largest, major poker tournament in Europe, the Irish Open is set to break records again this year with its increased capacity of 1,000 players.

Many of the world’s top professionals, including Doyle Brunson, have already confirmed their seats in a bid to win the coveted Terry Rogers Memorial Trophy and a minimum €800,000 first prize.

Paddy Power, Communications Manager for paddypowerpoker.com, is delighted to be offering players the best in both live and online poker. “The Irish Open and the $2 Million Guaranteed are two world class events and our players will be spoilt for choice of big money tournaments this month.

In fact, the combined prizepools of all the Irish Open festival events, the $2 Million Guaranteed and our regular scheduled tournaments will amount to more than $20 million in prize money!”

Power also suggests pre-registering for the Irish Open to avoid any disappointment. “Last year the Irish Open was a complete sell out and places are filling up fast for 2008. Players should register now to ensure their seat at what will be a fantastic festival of poker.”

Qualification for the Irish Open is available twice weekly on paddypowerpoker.com with satellites running every Wednesday ($55 Rebuy) and Sunday ($320 Freezeout) night. Players wishing to buy-in directly can register and pay online at www.irishpokeropen.com.
