With one of the biggest European live tournaments of the year just around the corner, qualification routes are being eagerly sought by thousands of online players.

The European Poker Tour Monte Carlo Grand Final - Europe's richest poker tournament - is taking place in the Salles des Etoiles at the Monte Carlo Sporting at the exclusive Monte Carlo Bay Hotel & Resort from 28 March - 1 April 2007.

Last year's Grand Final, with a prize pool of €2,980,000, was won by PokerStars qualifier Jeff Williams, 19, who went home with €900,000 ($1,100,000).

Doobs went on to win the Betfair Poker $50,000 guaranteed tournament the very same night.
