Boeken joins Stars

Young Dutch star Noah Boeken signs for Team PokerStars, joining Hachem, Raymer and Moneymaker

One of the world's most talented young poker players, Noah Boeken, has joined the exclusive team of 18 international poker players - Team PokerStars. Noah, who lives in Amsterdam, is only 26 years old and has been a professional poker player for three years. In this period he has built a reputation as a formidable player in both live and online poker.

Noah was one of the world’s best “Magic:The Gathering” players, travelling the world to play the fantasy role-playing card game. It was at these events that he discovered poker, and he found his competitive and calculating mind helped him to make a successful transition. Within a year he was the most talked about young player on the European poker scene.

Noah’s breakthrough success came when he won the European Poker Tour (EPT) in Copenhagen in 2005, earning him a massive €150,000. He has followed up that success with a number of high cash finishes in EPT events, and is currently ranked number two in the all-time EPT Tournament Leader Board, a ranking based on poker skill rather than simple cash winnings.

Noah is also a very successful online player, better known by his PokerStars user ID "Exclusive". He has twice won the popular $200 tournaments on PokerStars, beating out more than 4,300 players each time. “Exclusive” has also won the PokerStars ‘Tournament Leader Board’ prize for best player on the site on three separate occasions.

Along with his mentor “The Flying Dutchman” Marcel Luske, Boeken gives poker lessons to Dutch celebrities on a televised show called Veronica Poker. Also airing shortly, their exciting life as professional poker players will be the subject of a fly on the wall documentary called ‘Poker Kings’, broadcast on Talpa TV in Holland.

Boeken’s ambition as a child was to excel in sport for his country. By playing poker at a world class level, he has achieved what he calls the “perfect combination of competition and mind power”.

Revelling in poker life, Noah’s ambitions in the future include a World Series of Poker bracelet win, continuing to improve upon his live tournament success and ultimately to become a skilful poker master.

Other members of the elite Team PokerStars include World Series of Poker Champions Joe Hachem of Australia (2005 winner), and Americans Greg Raymer (2004) and Chris Moneymaker (2003).
