Deal is one of a spate of poker films to be released this year from the major Hollywood studios. It’s a Color of Money style tale of an old-stager helping a hot young player to achieve success. Burt Reynolds plays the old-stager who improbably finishes the film heads-up with his protégé at the WPT World Championships.

But what’s really interesting about this film is the slew of poker celebrity cameos.

The movie features Antonio Esfandiari, Joe Hachem, Chris Moneymaker, Greg Raymer and Phil Laak playing themselves, while tournament scenes also feature commentary from the WPT team of Mike Sexton and Vince Van Patten.

Also featured is hot actress, Shannon Elizabeth, fresh from her fourth-placed finish at the National Heads-Up Championship.
